Notice
With wild eyes and a racing heart, I step onto my sidewalk. It beckons me to walk. To notice.
I feel the sunlight warm my body. Hear the rustling of the leaves.
“Notice the beauty. Come alive to me.” I smile as I see roses blooming in late October.
I feel the wind on my face. I place my hand on my chest. “Stay here in this moment. Do you see me all around you?”
Cars pass me by but I hardly notice as I listen to the insects chirp in the forest beside me. I take a deep breath of the fall air; lift my face to the sun.
It’s here where I feel you, where I sense your Spirit wooing me deeper. And then I’m reminded and question, why don’t I walk this pavement more often?
I see beauty. It’s all around me. If only I open my eyes and slow down enough to notice.
